branch libraries. For example, in Tsuen Wan, the main library will be housed in the Government Building next to the future Town Hall, but it will also be backed up by branch libraries in N. & S. Kwai Chung and in Tsing Yi.

Market Towns and Rural Areas

In areas where the population is widely dispersed, the present planning standard of a simple population/ square footage ratio may have to be revised in which case the provision of a more sophisticated mobile library service or a number of small local libraries will have to be considered.
