GOVERNOR OF HONG KONG'S VISIT TO THE UK

Miss Waddington, who is PA to Lord Sandon, the Chairman of the National Westminster Bank (Tel. No. 606 6060 ex 2782), rang me today to say that Lord Sandon wished to offer Sir Murray Mac Lehose lunch at 12.30 on 23 November.

This was the only day that Lord Sandon could manage and she hoped it would be convenient. Apparently M. Mac Lehose had written direct to Lord Sandon saying that he would be grateful for a chance to see him during his next visit to the UK.

I confirmed that the present state of the Governor' programme permitted this.
