MINUTES OF THE THIRD MEETING OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE TO MONITOR THE HONG KONG PLANNING PAPER, HELD ON 19 MAY 1977
1. I attach the draft Minutes of the Standing Committee's third meeting. These have been cleared by the Senior Economic Adviser and the OLA. At Mr Cortazzi's request, I showed him the draft Minutes (not at that stage cleared by Mr Smith and the OLA) before he went off to Washington and he told me later that he had managed to look through them quickly and had no comments.
2. If you approve the Minutes I shall then submit them to Lord Goronwy-Roberts and send a copy to the Governor in the usual way.
