MONG LONG: ST ADING COLIITTIM TO HONITON THE PL NING PA

1.

NICKC013),

foreshadowed by ir Stewart at the lost meeting of the Standing Committee on 7 February (the minutes of which you will have seen), the long long Government have now submitted a further batch of quarterly reports for the period 1 November 1976 to 31 January 1977.

?.

hile there i no urgency about processing this latest batch since the next meeting of the Standin; Committee is not scheduled to take place until ny, there is nothing to stop our taking up any points of interest with the longong Government. The letter could probably prefer to know well in advance of production of te net round of quarterly reports of any points about which we may be concerned. I would be gled, therefore, to have your comment on the reports by the end of arch. s before, these should be confined to matters which fall within the framework of the lanning Paper.
