As a member of Amnesty International I have to protest

in the most definite way against the executions that

have taken place in the British protectorate Bermuda

Friday 2nd December. The fact that your legal system

permits this barbarian form of punishment puts shame

on England.

The death penalty is an inefficient as well as morally

indefensible way of solving social conflicts. I agree completely with Arthur Latham's condemnation of this

so called legal practice.

I hope that the British government in face of Amnesty's

international conference in Stockholm will do its

utmost to change this outdated law.
