CAPITAL PUNISHMENT IN THE DEPENDENT TERRITORIES
1. Mr Wall told me last week that the Secretary of State's memorandum on "Capital Punishment in the Dependent Territories" (DOP (79) 19 of 15 July) is expected to be considered early this week at a meeting of the members of the DOP directly concerned, together with the Lord Chancellor and the Attorney General, instead of at the meeting of the DOP itself planned for Wednesday, 27 July.
