It would appear to be logical to extend th

proposed fund tees for the maintenance of Govern ent Houses in grant-aided DTs

to include essential security works. If this were agreed I imagine that Security Department might be persuaded to send Mr Goodsir to do a security inspection, with a view to reporting what would need to be done with an estirate of the cost (I

believe this is the procedure for security inspections of DS posts). This might be extended if required to other DIs, though the expenses would fall on their own budgets.
