I wrote to Teddy Kidd on 24 October last about the Conference held in Montreal in May 1975 at which Hong Kong affairs had been discussed.

Professor Evans, who has again been in touch with our High Commission in Ottawa, has passed to them the enclosed papers outlining con- tributions made by Easey, Djao and Rear to the Conference session on "The Law and Society in Hong Kong". He apparently discovered these when he was clearing some of his own papers. Professor

Evans has said that, through lack of time, Mr Easey did not get beyond the second paragraph of his summary during his actual presentation at the Conference.

This is all rather stale now but I thought that your office might like to have this information to add to your dossier on the Research Project.
