Unconfirmed reports received regarding this group. The group were reportedly moved to Pahang

Group not permitted to come to land. As- sistance provided by Red Crescent, us Embassy officials, following UNHCR in- tervention, have interviewed the group and half may qualify for USA

All 14 desire to go to the USA where they claim thay have sponsors

Group left Johore Bahru on 29.576 but boat sank. They were rescued by "Green Bay" but permission to land group in Singapore refused.

After appealing to the Malaysian Govern- ment temporary asylum was granted and group landed at Penang on 9.6.76. Group were moved to Pulau Gerjjak, near Pe- nang. All wish to resettle USA and clearances expected shortly
