COMPARISON OF HONG KONG'S LABOUR CONDITIONS WITH THOSE OF HER ASIAN NEIGHBOURS
1. At a meeting of the Overseas Labour Consultative Committee held on 30 January 1976, it was recommended that a study should be undertaken to establish how Hong Kong compares in its labour and social standards with neighbouring Asian countries. This study is now being put in hand here and we would be grateful for any material, particularly for drawing comparisons with Singapore, which you may already have accumulated which would assist us in presenting an accurate picture. Any reports prepared by the Research and Planning Unit of the Department of Labour would be of particular
value.
