(a) to advise whether the Mass Transit Railway

Corporation Bill 1975, at Annex B, should be introduced into the Legislative Council; and

(b) to note that the Ordinance will not be brought into operation until they have confirmed their advice in principle to proceed with the con- struction of the Modified Initial System.

(The Secretary for the Environment (Mr J.J. ROBSON), the Secretary for Economic Services (Mr D.J.C. JONES), the Deputy Director of Public Works (Acting) (Mr W. C. BELL), the Director of Mass Transit Studies (Acting) (Mr A.H. WILKINS) and the Principal Assistant Secretary for Economic Services (Mr K, Y, YEUNG) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item. The Chair- man designate of the future Mass Transit Railway Corporation (Mr N.S. THOMPSON) will also attend for this item in his capacity as a member of the Mass Transit Railway Provisional Authority.)
