I understand that Mr Lee, Commissioner for Narcotics in Hong Kong, is visiting you on 23 June. You may like to mention to him that, according to the Counsellor for Hong Kong affairs at the British Embassy in Bangkok (Mr Law), it has now been firmly decided that the next conference of Operational Heads of National Narcotics Law Enforcement Agencies in the Far East will take place in Jakarta. If so, the problems mentioned in the letters under reference, which might have arisen had the meeting been held in Hong Kong, will not do so.
