The passage
I attach the Amnesty International Annual Report which is referred to in the Guardian article of 15 September. on Chinese illegal immigration is on pages 88-89. The reference to the return of 118 South Vietnamese refugees from Hong Kong is on page 106.
2.
I have spoken to LAD about the Chilean refugee situation. To date some 2,500 Chilean refugees have been granted permission to enter this country, of whom 1,091 have actually arrived. In processing these applications the Home Office have waived, certain entry requirements. The comparison between the Chilean and Vietnamese situations has been alluded to in a Pa from Sir Frederic Bennett in May.
