The Prisoner was interviewed in Stanley Prison on 6th of this month. During the course of interview he did not appear to be very tense in emotion. He was at ease when talking. He said he did not know the deceased nor the other condemned prisoners. He also denied the charge. He said he had personal grudge with one of the witnesses of the prosecution. He elected to have nothing else to say.

SUMMARY
Gathering from the above information together with what was observed during the interview with the Prisoner and the other persons interviewed, it was impressed that the Prisoner is a young man without root in Hong Kong though he has been a resident here for about 12 years and life had been quite hard on him during his stay.
He had no family burden as his common law wife is now cared for by her own mother with whom she lived. He appeared to be pessimistic in attitude towards his life. He also did not seem very keen on whether his death sentence could be commuted. This is a very rare attitude shown by a condemned prisoner.
