HONG KONG: DEATH SENTENCES

1.

As far as I am aware the constitutional position in relation to Trinidad is as stated in para 2 of Hong Kong's telegram No 543 to the FCO. However, I would naturally bow to the views of Mr Rushford. Otherwise I have no comments.

2. I am copying this minute as well as your own to Mr Preston in Caribbean Department in view of his interest in Trinidad & Tobago.
