which might have a very bad psycological influence on him.
His childhood was spent in poverty and after only primary
education he had to start work at an early age. He has been
supporting his aged father who is now about 65 years old and
who is too old to find work to do. Your Petitioner's father
has been also suffering from tuberculosis and is now
subsisting only on the assistance from various welfare
departments and agencies.

After the crime, Your Fetitioner has been extremely
contrite about what he had done and after the arrest, Your
Petitioner was under constant fear and anxiety, which was
aggravated by the conviction and sentence.
21.
Your Petitioner therefore humbly prays that Your
Excellency in Council (or Your Excellency) will rescind the
sentence of death passed upon Your Petitioner and substitute
therefor a sentence of imprisonment for an appropriate number
of years.
