SUMMARY

The Prisoner was according to his family a decent and responsible son before he lived out in early 1973. From the remarks of the persons interviewed, it appeared that the Prisoner had started to go astray in the latter part of 1973 when he was dismissed by the Tai Yau (Cloth Dealer) Company and when he became more closely mixed with the other Prisoners of the same case, particularly the First Prisoner on the list. Apparently, he had acquired the evil habit of off-course gambling on horse/greyhounds as well as other forms of street gambling. All this had finally wound him up in the robbery plot and subsequent offences.
