My Dear Anthony,

I enclose a factual reply to the petition which Ir Pun Ting Chau of Flat 1022, Doll House, Block A, 525-543 Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong, forwarded to

you.

A body consisting of prominent members of the community and senior government officials and known as the operations Target Committee considered a report on the investigations into Er Pun's complaints on 30 october 1975. The Committee considered ar Pun' allegations and have advised that the possibility of prosecuting Mr Pun for criminal libel should be considered by the Hong Kong Attorney-General. No decision has

yet been taken on this latter point.

Heedless to say I should not like this information to be passed on to Mr Pun at present while the matter is under consideration of the Attorney-General in Trong Wong.

Very best wishes for 1976!

Sir Anthony Royle KCMG MP

House of Commons

London SW1

Sincerely

Gon
