Aear Teddy,

A.

I enclose a factual reply to the petition which Mr Pun Ting Chau of Flat 1022, Bell House, Block A, 525-543 Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong, forwarded to

you.

A body consisting of prominent members of the community and senior government officials and known as the Operations Target Committee considered a report on the investigations into Mr Pun's complaints on 30 Uctober 1975. The Committee considered Ar Pun's allegations and have advised that the possibility of prosecuting Ar Pun for criminal libel should be considered by the Hong Kong Attorney-General. No decision has yet been taken on this latter point.

Needless to say I should not like this informatim to be passed on to Mr Pun at present while the matter is under consideration of the Attorney-General in ilong Wong.

Edward Taylor Esq MP House of Commons London SW1
