REOFIVED IN REGISTRY No. 51

5 MAR 1975

Dear Sir Anthony

Thank you for your letter of February 25th, enclosing that to you from Lord Goronwy-Roberts and dated February 20th, with enclosed photographs.

Mr Prendergast has asked for my assistance in identifying the Hunghom room boy who I recall was known to me as

and I here provide that help. To the best of my recollection and belief after a period of some twelve years,

is the picture numbered 16 and across which I have

signed my name. Verification of that identification might be obtained by Mr Prendergast from Mr J.G.HURST, Superintendent, who in 1962 transferred from the Police Training School with me and shared the single-inspectors' quarters at Hunghom, and also the services of AH LAM.

Yours sincerely

ALAN ELLIS
