Mr James Johnson (Kingston-upon-Hull West): To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, how many Hong Kong police officers have been employed in the Independent Commission against Corruption; what proportion this is of the total investigating complement; and how many of these have served in the former Anti- Corruption Office of the Hong Kong Police Force.

Fifty-one officers of the Commission were formerly employed by the Royal Hong Kong Police Force: this is almost 17% of the total investigating complement of 301. Sixteen of the fifty-one had served at one time or another in the former Anti-Corruption Office.
