We had a word on the telephone last night, further to my letter of 20 February, about arrangements for keeping you in touch with the progress of the study of the "E55M garrison". 1 now enclose for your information copies of a further exchange of signals between CBV Hong Kong and myself.

A meeting will be held in my room here (6310) at 1030 am on Friday 28 February to give final briefing to the LPS represent- ative, who will be travelling to Hong Kong over the weekend to join the working party on 4 March. A Treasury representative will be welcome, as would be a representative of the FCO.
