take note of the progress in our NATO consultations, and in particular of the Secretary General's formal letter at Annex B;

agree that I should propose certain minimal-cost measures to NATO along the lines of paragraphs 10

and 11 above;

agree that I should reply to the Secretary General of NATO along the lines of the draft at Annex C;

endorse the draft statement in the Defence White Paper on consultations with our Allies at Annex D.
