METROLOGY QUALITY ASSURANCE: HONG KONG POLYTECHNIC
Aima
To provide equipment in a controlled environment so that, - (a) atudents may carry out measuring, gauging and quality
assurance notivities as a necessary part of their courses. atandardo, mensuring instrumento and gauges used in industry may be chocked, and that measurements boyond the resources of industrial enterprisem mny he carried out on their behalf.
(b)
Teaching Activities
It is planned that the following teaching activities will be carried out,
(a) demonstrations showing the use of equipment.
(b)
exporimonto in measuring, gauging, non-destructive testing, and quality assurance.
(s) project work, ie activity carried out throughout an
academic year by senior atudents in omll gr:upa cuparvised by a member of academic staff; auch projects could include applied research, complex roasuring and/or gauging problems, development of quality assurance oyntona, etc. It should be noted that most of the activities described above are being carried out now. Expansion 10 hampered by the lack of equipment.
