TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO HONG KONG
1.
With my letter of the 5 February I sent to vou a list of equipment required by the printing and bookbinding department of the Hong Kong Polytechnic seeking a waiver of the "buy British" rule for items 1, 2 and 8.
2. I am now writing to seek a waiver for item 3. the heavy duty Singer sewing machine since it seems that the model required is manufactured in West Germany. For your information I enclose a copy of a letter from the Singer company.
3. I should be grateful if you would let me have the necessary waiver for this item.
