Recommendation 11. Wetlands and the Man and the Biosphere Programme

The Conference,

Noting with satisfaction Unesco's new programme on 'Man and the Biosphere" (MAB) involving the planning of world-wide research into, and the monitoring of, the rôle and productivity of various ecosystems or major habitats, as a basis for conservation, management, wise utilization and sustained yield:

Recommends that wetlands in all parts of the world should be brought within the scope of the MAB Programme.
