(4) Concluding sessions
The seminar included three sessions towards the end of its work, for discussions of general nature and re-examination of some important topics which had been already discussed in the previous working sessions. The seminar also agreed that it would not adopt any formal conclusions, because the topics it had dealt with were in many respects so complex and new that any specific and perhaps premature conclusions could create a danger of limiting or influencing further careful examination at both national and regional level. It was, however, emphasised that the results of the seminar's work should provide helpful reference material fcr future work in the problem a reas concerned. During the course of the general discussions, the seminar expressed its unanimous hope that it should be followed by activities and efforts at national, regional and international levels, and confirmed that the exchange of views which had taken place at the seminar was most informative and useful to the development of social security and its effective integration into national development programmes. It was also suggested that the final report to be published should contain a brief summary of discussions to highlight the major items of concern expressed by the participants, and should also reproduce the working papers discussed by them at the seminar, so that they would be available
as useful reference material to those who might in future wish to examine the particular problems.
