EXPENDITURE COMMITTEE

Defence and External Affairs Sub-Committee

V. Benham Eso..

Room 9109, F↑ (N),

Ministry of Defence, Main Building, Whitehall, London SW1"

Dea Oicta,

2 6 MAR 1075

26th March, 1975

At its meeting yesterday, the Sub-Committee discussed the projected visit to Hong Kong. It was agreed that the visit should begin on Monday, 17th November, leaving London direct for Hong Kong.

The Sub-Committee wish to stay in Hong Kong for up to four days and then return to London, stopping over at the following places if possible: Diego Garcia, Masirah and Singapore. Up to five days might be set aside for this, making a ten day visit in all (including travelling time).

It is appreciated that it may not be possible for all these requests to be met on one visit. However, the Sub- Committee have instructed me to make these proposals as a basis for planning the visit.
