5.

Mr Galsworthy has reminded me that the Secretary of State is

keen for the Governor to address a meeting of members of the Parliamentary Labour Party during his next visit. From the Governor's point of view, I imagine that it would be best to try and fit this into the week when he is going to be around in the Office. I imagine that Parliament will be in session during the week beginning 1 December so a meeting at that time should be a possibility. However, Mr McNally is not immediately available to consult on the possible timing of a meeting

with the PLP and I think it will have to be left on one side at the

moment.

6.

I submit a draft telegram to the Governor.
