He is the Chairman of a stock exchange and of a number of public and private companies and manages one computer centre and a number of finance companies. He is/was associated with the work of many voluntary agencies, namely, the Community Chest (founder director), Society of the Blind, Hong Kong Boys' & Girls' Club Association (president), St. John Ambulance Cadets (vice-chairman), Lion Club of Happy Valley (chartered president), Po Leung Kuk (chairman), Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Inventors Association of Hong Kong (founder director), Society for the Protection of Children (acting chairman), Shek O Health Centre (chairman), Scouts Association (vice-chairman). He is associated with mental health work (member of the Hong Kong Mental Health Association; member of the executive board, World Federation for MenHealth; co-chairman of the 24th Annual Meeting of the Federation held in Hong Kong; chairman of Mental Health Week 1969) and road safety (president of the local Road Safety Association for a numbe of years and chairman of the International Road Safety Conference in 1968). He served/is serving in various public committees, namely, Chinese Temple Committee, Social Workers Training Fund Committee, Grantham Scholarship Fund, Brewen Trust Fund, Aberdeen Technical School, Vegetable Marketing Organisation. He is also Dean of the Faculty of Commercial Sciences. Shue Yan College, and member of Board of Trustee, United College, Chinese University of Hong Kong.
