Leave Morse Park Swimming Pool and drive along Kowloon foothills with good view of Kowloon and harbour; stop at view point overlooking the old housing estate of Shek Kip Mei and the new estate of Pak Tin into which residents of old estates are being moved..
Comment
General Object is to demonstrate immediate interest in people of Hong Kong, and their most press- ing problem - housing. Route will lie at times through very crowded areas and pass many schools and enable very large numbers to see The Queen. It will enable The Queen to see some of the oldest and worst and the newest and best features of Hong Kong. It will also offer good panoramic views of Kowloon and harbour.
The Swimming pool complex beside the estate is first-rate, and will be packed with bathers and spectators.
Wang Tau Hom is one of the oldest and most primitive estates.
