For the Attention of Mr. Crowson,

Dear Mr. Crowson,

I am in receipt and thank you for your letter of 29th July, the contents of which have duly been noted. I would however, advise you that my Solicitors being Messrs. Gunston & Chow are in fact in the process of issuing an action against the Hong Kong Government for my refused entry and subsequent detention in the colony.

However, after giving your letter a great deal of consideration, I would like to express my deep concern and regret at the fact that your office were unable to assist me in any way. As a Citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies as well as being a Tax Payer, Rate Payer and employer, also taking into consideration the unlikely event of a war, the Government of the day would not hesitate in calling unon my services and those of my fellow countrymen to protect the United Kingdom and Colonies.

I think that it is scandellous that on the individual word of a Police Officer, I am prevented entry into a British Colony, taking into consideration I have never been arrested, charged or convicted of any offence whatsoever in that colony. As a British Citizen I am entitled to the same rights as yourself or any other subject of the Crown, I must therefore insist that your office makes immediate protest to the Hong Kong Government in this respect. I look forward to receiving your further comments, and remain,
