HONG KONG REFRESENTATION AT THE 26TH SESSION OF THE UN COMMISSION ON NARCOTIC DRUGS
I have discussed Mr Train's letter of 23 October with Mr Oaten in UN Department. I said that we see no objection to Mr Train approaching Norman Rolph direct about Hong Kong representation at the next UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs. We agreed that it would make more sense for Mr Rolph's successor to attend the meeting,
but that this would obviously depend on whether his successor had assumed office by February 1975 when the meeting takes place.
I mentioned that Mr George has now been replaced as Assistant Political Adviser by Mr Drace-Francis.
