31. On 25th November, 1973 officers of the Narcotics Bureau raided a flat at Hung Hom, Kowloon. The premises were searched and quantities of No. 4 heroin, No. 3 heroin and barbitone were found. Two men, YEUNG Shiu-kwan (2799/3843/0689), 24 years, Kwok Loi (6753/0171), 23 years and a woman, Tsoi Mo-chun (5591/1970/3791), 20 years, found on the premises were arrested. The total quantity of drugs seized was 7.0007 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 2.6891 kilogrammes of salts of esters of morphine (No. 3 heroin), 465.5 grammes of a mixture containing 394.6 grammes of salts of esters of morphine (No. 4 heroin) and 1.31 kilogrammes of pure barbitone. All arrested persons have been jointly charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking. The case is still pending.

32. On 21st July, 1973, officers of the Narcotics Bureau raided a flat in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. A British The premises were searched and a packet of cannabis and smoking implements were seized. female, Jacqueline Simone MCBREARTY, 40 years, found in the premises was arrested. The total quantity of cannabis seized was 24.1 grammes. McBREARTY was charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs. She was convicted and fined HK$200.00.

33. On 27th July, 1973 officers of the Narcotics Bureau raided a flat in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The premises were searched and a quantity of cannabis was found. A man, Kwok Yun-yin (6753/ 7032/6343), 21 years, and a woman, Au Kam-ping (2962/6930/1456), 21 years, found in the premises were arrested. The total quantity of drugs seized was 5.2 grammes of cannabis. Both arrested persons were jointly charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs. KWOK was convicted and bound over in the sum of HK$500.00 for a period of one year. No evidence was offered against Au.

34. On 23rd August, 1973, officers of the Narcotics Bureau raided a flat in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. The premises were searched and in one bedroom a plastic box containing 28.8 grammes of cannabis resin was found. In a second bedroom smoking implements all bearing traces of cannabis resin were found. Four men, Indian male Bhagwan Shamdas, 24 years, British male Joseph David CLEMENTS, 28 years, WONG Wai-man (7806/0251/2429), 24 years, and WONG Shun-mou (7806/ 1957/6180), 23 years, found on the premises were arrested and jointly charged with two counts of Possession of Dangerous Drugs. 35. On 25th August, 1973, acting on information, officers of the Narcotics Bureau conducted an operation at the Star Ferry Concourse, Kowloon, during which a Nepalese male, Purnasing GURUNG, 23
years, was stopped and searched. 4.129 kilogrammes of cannabis resin were found in his travelling bag. GURUNG was arrested and charged with Possession of Dangerous Drugs for the Purpose of Unlawful Trafficking. He was convicted and bound over in the sum of HK$500.00 for a period of two years.

36. On 29th August, 1973, officers of the Narcotics Bureau raided a plastic factory in Western District, Hong Kong. The premises were searched and a quantity of No. 3 heroin and cannabis was found. A man, LAM Hoi-chun (2651/3189/6966), 42 years, and a woman, MA Shuk-tuen (7456) 3219/4551), 50 years, found in the premises were arrested. The total seizure amounted to 14.7 grammes of a mixture containing 5.0 grammes of salts of esters of morphine and 156 grammes of
cannabis.
