I thank you for your despatch dated 15th May, 1974 and append below the information as requested:

(A) The petitioner was warned on a number of

occasions commencing in July 1969 as follows:-

District Officer, Yuen Long sent

a warning letter to the permittee advising him of the change in Government policy and giving him notice to clear the site by 31.12.69.

District Officer, Yuen Long advised the permittee that a further one year's extension to 31.12.70 only would be given.

District Officer, Yuen Long gave 3 months' notice of cancellation of the quarry permit.

In reply to an appeal, District Officer, Yuen Long advised the

permittee that other permit quarries were similarly affected.

Quarry permit cancelled.

Following an appeal, District Officer, Yuen Long advised the permittee that permission had been given to continue rock crushing on the site to the end of June 1971, which should be cleared by 31.7.71.
