You asked for a note in response to Mr Pauncefort's minute to me of 30 August.

I have already sent to Mr Pauncefort copies of the earlier papers. The saving despatch 569 of 31 December 1969 did in fact issue from HKIOD.

We shall copy to G&GD the reply which finally issues to the Governor's savingram no 205 of 24 August.
