ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM SOUTH VIETNAM TO HONG KONG

Mr Greville Janner MP has written to Lord Goronwy-Roberts enclosing correspondence which he has received from Mr Maurice Tracy, a Hong Kong solicitor.

Earlier correspondence on this subject rests with Lord Goronwy-Roberts's letter to Mr Janner of 23 September. Mr Tracy's latest comments raise a further legal query about the application of the Hong Kong Immigration Ordinance. I think there may be something in what he says; but in any case we should not reply without consulting Hong Kong. I have telegraphed accordingly. Meanwhile I submit a further interim reply to
