The Republic of Vietnam have admitted that 117 Vietnamese refugees, who were returned' from Hong Kong on June 16th, 1974, have been sent to notorias Con Son, pending trial, altihough Saigon had assured Hong Kong and Great Britain that the fefugees would get a mild treatment, if they returned home.
As the British government is in charge of Hong Kong admini- stration, the world strongly feels that your government should urge the Saigon authorities to administer this mild treatment and examine the present prison conditions.The government should also investigate the charges that will be directed against the prisoners.
