"Yes, I think this is as much as we can get, and it

is not unreasonable.

"I should like, as soon as possible, a 'state of play' statement for our own use, covering numbers released, especially women and children; where the others are and how they are being treated; date of trial, etc. Above all, that none has died or been killed (cf the infamous NEW STATESMAN article)."
