We learned through the Daily Information Bulletin of 9 March that Trevor Bedford was to resign as Director of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

This is disappointing, especially coming as it does, barely two months after the establishment of the Commission.

No doubt in due course you will let us have official notification in order that we can terminate his appointment; addition, perhaps you would let me know the circumstances leading to his resignation and subsequent appointment with the Hong Kong Land Company. Are there likely to be any allegations of an undesirable connection between his present job and the one he is about to take up?
