Conditions of Appointment for the office of Assistant Commission Against Corruption Officer

(Non-pensionable)

1. Qualifications and

experience for

appointment :

2. Duties :

Candidates should :

preferably be under 35 years of age;

(i)

(ii)

have 5 subjects, including

English, at Grade or above in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education (English) or equivalent; or higher qualifications;

(iii) depending upon their particular

appointment in the Commission possess some supervisory

experience;

have a good general knowledge of the Colony;

(iv)

(v)

have general or particular

(vi)

experience in routine methods of detection, surveillance or

intelligence work, office routine (personnel, accounts, supply keeping, registry services, etc.), telephone/telecommunications

operations, secretarial and other clerical duties; and

be fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge

of one or more Chinese dialects would be in advantage and may qualify for a dialect allowance.

To provide general or special support services in the various branches of the Commission.

3. Salary scale :

Master Pay Scale (11 19)

0980: $1,060 : $1,145 : 1,230 : $1,315 : 1,400 : $1,485 : $1,570 : $1,660 p.m.

(Note: Entry points will be determined

by qualifications, experience, merit and present salary including allowances if any plus any possible risk factor in the event that prospects in prosent employment may be affected unduly by appointment with the Commission).

A special allowance of $400 per month will be paid in addition. This

allowance will not attract pension or gratuity benefits.
