I enclose a lengthy communication from Mr Pun Ting Chau of Hong Kong. As you will see, this was damaged in the fire at the House of Commons last week, but most of it is readable.

I take it that Mr Pun has written to me because of my interest in Hong Kong and the fact that I was formerly Chairman of the all-Party Hong Parliamentary Group. You will see that he wrote his letter in January, but since it came by seamail it has only recently arrived.

I shall be grateful to have your comments on what he has to say.
