I enclose herewith the papers that were taken from Mr Godber's house by Detective Chief Superintendent Howell and which I mentioned in our recent telegram. You will know better than we whether these are of any assistance to the prosecution in his case.

We have not kept copies. But if they are relevant to the proceedings for his return you will no doubt be letting us have them back again with the depositions.
