Ka Wah Plastic Factory at Pak Tat Street, San Po Kong, earning $450 per month.

Mother: KWAN Po-chu, F/51, worker in the Ngar

Tin Metal Factory at Sze Mei Street, San Po Kong, earning $17 per day.

Elder Sister: CHENG Oi-lin, F/26, married, living

separately from home.

Three Younger : 1. CHENG Yick-fei, M/18, worker in a

C. LIVING ENVIRONMENT

The family has occupied Room 1210, Block 11, Ngau Tau Kok Lower Estate for about five years. The present monthly rent is $45. There is a curtain used to separate the parents' bed from the children's ones at night. It is simply furnished but tidily kept. Formerly the family lived in the Tai Hang Tung Resettlement Estate. Thus, by the standard of accommodation the environment was typical of working class family.
