One of the women on the premises gave evidence that

she saw the accused and other men attack LAU Wah with knives.

TSOI Kam-cheong, who was taken by one of the intruders to the

bedroom where Yung was sleeping saw Yung being chopped by that intruder. Tsoi also said he saw WONG Fat-nip (already injured)

running into the bed oom where he was, being chased and chopped

by the accused and one or two other men. Whilst in the bedroom,

Wong jumped onto the bed where Yung had been sleeping and covered

himself with a blanket. There he was further chopped. It

appears that the accused did not enter the bedroom. LAU Wah did

not mention the accused in his evidence but said that he and

WONG Fat-nip were chopped when the intruders rushed in.

Wong suffered the following injuries:

On External Examination :

4. cut wounds present on top of head. All did not involve whole thickness of scalp.

Superficial cut, 2" long, on left side of face. Abrasions on forehead and both sides of face present.

A total of 10 cut wounds were found on the back and a total of 7 cut wounds were found on the

left upper limb.

Superficial cut, 3" long, on upper right arm near the shoulder.

2 stab wounds on right front of chest, the upper measured 5/8", the lower ". Both have their lower corner blunted and upper corner sharp.

On Internal Examination :··

The upper stab wound entered the chest cavity via the right 4th rib space and through the right side of the breast bone backwards and horizontally. The lower stab wound entered the chest cavity via the right 6th rib space backwards and upwards (about 45° to the horizontal).

Both stabs penetrated the right ventricle of the heart.
