B. FAMILY COMPOSITION

Husband: LEE Shing-wan, 35, serving a prison term in

Chi Ma Wan as of 18.9.72 for Interfering with witness, living on the earnings of a prostitute and harbouring a girl under 16 years of age.

C. SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT

The Prisoner used to live in Wanchai near her place of work as a dance hostess. About two to three years before the offence, she rented a flat at 4 Pak Sha Road, 2/F, and lived with her husband where they operated a call-girl racket. A visit was paid to the above- mentioned address, but it is now turned into a Fuji Health Centre.

They moved to 2 Foo Ming Street 3/F a few months before the offence and used it also as a dormitory for call-girls. The place is now resided by another family.

Their children lived with her parents at an unnumbered stone hut at Kam Tin, near Tung Yuen at the back of Mung Yeung Public School. The place is clean and well-furnished. The rented hut is partitioned into a living room and a bedroom where her parents have lived for 13

years.

D. ASSOCIATES

The Prisoner used to associate with people in her work in dance halls and call-girl rackets.

E. PERSONS INTERVIEWED (relevant to the Prisoner's Conduct and behaviour)

1. WAN Sil, 72, (Prisoner's father residing at Kam Tin unnumbered hut)

Mr. Wan said that she was a filial child and contributed money regularly for their upkeep when she left her children under their care. However, as she had made her living outside in Hong Kong for about twenty years, he had no idea at first how she actually worked for a living. He only came to learn later that she was a dance hostess when it was too late to ask her to give up her work.

2. WONG Pui-man, 67, (Prisoner's mother)

Madam Wong confirmed what the father has mentioned about the Prisoner's financial contribution. She did not know until later that the Prisoner was in vice rackets.
