On the 2nd day of October 1973, the Full Court refused

Your Petitioner's applications for leave to appeal

against her said convictions.

3. Your Petitioner, now aged 34 years, was born in Hong

Kong, was married in 1959, and has three male children

aged respectively 8, 9 and 12 years. Your Petitioner's

children are presently in the care of her mother, and

father, now aged respectively 68 and 72 years.

Your Petitioner respectfully refers Your Excellency to

certain Passages in the learned Commissioner's summing-

up to the jury, at pages 478, 487 and 495 of the

official transcript, wherein the learned commissioner

expressed the view that Your Petitioner did not intend

to kill the Deceased and that the death of the Deceased

was not a result of a pre-arranged beating or a pre-

arranged killing. Your Petitioner also respectfully

refers Your Excellency to the fact that, although she

was indicted for causing grievous bodily harm to Yeung

Lin-shing with intent to do him grievous bodily harm,

the jury by its verdicts appears not to have been

satisfied that Your Petitioner had such intent or shared

in any such intention on the part of other person.
