intravenously) (of which I have no personal
knowledge or recollection) and that under those
conditions I gave the same account of my movements,
and
(v) that he was of opinion that, when so examined
under the said circumstances of abreaction, if
I had been telling lies, he would have been able
to detect them.
(e) The circumstantial evidence presented against me to
the Jury by the prosecution was of such a nature as
to cause the Jury to deliberate for approximately six
hours before convicting me of the offence charged. By
reason of the Jury never hearing the evidence of Dr.
Pang they were deprived of the opportunity of weighing
and considering that evidence and I respectfully submit
that they would never have convicted me had they heard
that evidence.
(f) although I have a bad record for offences of dishonesty
(my last conviction for such being in 1962) I have
never (prior to my conviction for this offence) been
convicted of any offence involving violence, sexual
assaults or sadism.
(g) I. am now .49 years of age and I have a cohabitant wife
and one young child, both of whom I love. If Your
Excellency should see fit to acceed to this my petition
I respectfully request that Your Excellency should not,
in substitution of the sentence of death now imposed
upon me, substitute such a sentence of imprisonment
as would prevent me ever resuming my duties as a
husband to my wife and a father to my child.
(h) I am prepared to undergo any further tests under
abreaction, polygraph and other scientific means as
