These slides do not do justice * to the sharp reductions

we shall make in the support area. It is impossible to be

precise about this. Extensive restructuring is being studied

in the wake of the tentative decisions so far taken on the

commitments and capabilities to be retained. However, some

najor reductions have already been identified: for example,

the RAF will cut its flying rate by 10% and withdraw 140

training, communications and miscellaneous aircraft.
