When completed, all copies of the Forms 0.3.A.1 should be

forwarded to:

(i) Head of Department who will be responsible for

certifying the applicant's eligibility to claim an allowance and who then, if satisfied, will forward all copies to:

(ii) Director of Education who, if satisfied, will forward

two copies of the form to:

(iii) Accountant General who will check and return one

completed copy of the form to:

(iv) Applicant's Head of Department who will advise the

applicant of the results of his application (see para. 14).

Having been informed that the application is in order, the applicant may then complete, in triplicate, Form 0.E.A.2 (Appendix III). Where possible, all children should be included on the same form. Claims for payment must be supported by a Form 0.E.A.3 (Appendix IV) duly completed by the school in respect of each child.

15.

Allowances are payable on a reimbursement basis. Where officers are required to make refunds these will be calculated as follows:

(i) Boarding school allowances:

B = Number of days between the start of the term

and the date on which the allowance ceases to be payable.

C = Appropriate annual rate divided by two or

three depending upon whether fees are paid twice or thrice yearly.

(ii) Day School Allowances:
